t
any place or at any time, one in 10 employees may be
mourning someone--a loved one, a co-worker, a friend, even a
beloved pet. In some cases, a workgroup can be
affected by grief, or even an entire company, especially
when a death has happened at the workplace or the loss is a
top executive. And grief is not just limited to the
loss of someone. It can also be associated with
divorce, financial problems or other situations affecting an
employee.
You'll learn:
- Conceptual models of the grief process;
- How to address the needs of the bereaved and help them
return to work;
- About the role of supervisors, HR managers and EAPs;
- About corporate policies;
Later, you'll break into a group and discuss a workplace
scenario and develop a solution.
