$25,000 - Latino Community Outreach, Lowering Barriers to Care

ulture or language differences are some of the chief barriers for Latinos learning about and seeking hospice care.  In addition, studies show that low-income Latinos are among the largest segment of the region's population who are the least likely to access hospice services because they don't know when, where or how to access care.  With this grant, Hospice Foundation helps Hospice Caring Project fund Implementing Change, an outreach and end-of-life education program for the Latino community in northern Monterey County.
