$400,000
- Hospice care for children and adults, staff education, and
a hospice care coordinator/liaison position
his grant provides ongoing support for VNA’s
pediatric end-of-life care program and adult hospice
services in Monterey and San Benito counties in California's
Central Coast region. Part of the grant also continues to fund VNA's hospice care
program serving southern Monterey County communities. Until
2002, hospice services were limited or largely unavailable
to residents in the South County area. That year, the Hospice
Foundation provided seed funding to help CCVNA open an office
in King City, and this grant continues to help support that
operation. Specifically, $300,000 funds direct
hospice services; $15,000 funds staff end-of-life care
education; and $85,000 funds a hospice care
coordinator/liaison position.
