Becoming an Egg Donor

Semen Donor Program

Thank you for your interest in a donor egg program. Currently, AVR Andrology Inc., is seeking highly motivated women to participate in our Egg Donor Program. AVR Andrology Inc., can increase the probability of successful conception for infertile women with the assistance of egg donations obtained by fertile, early aged (21-32yrs., women over age 30 must have proven fertility), normal ovulatory donors.

To help you decide to further explore the possibility of becoming an Egg Donor, please review the main requirements and steps that are required to become an accepted Egg donor:

1. Completion of Egg Donor Application, Egg Donor Profile, Egg Donor Medical Genetic History and Egg Donor Attitudes/Preferences forms.
2. Personal interview with AVR Andrology Inc.'s Assistant Clinical Director or designee.
3. Completion of psychosocial profile followed by a personal interview with a licensed psychologist and/or social worker.
4. Completion of a complete physical examination by a physician retained by AVR Andrology Inc. This examination will include an ultrasound to determine reproductive potential and cervical cultures used for sexual transmitted diseases testing.
5. Completion of a blood draw for the purpose of further sexual transmitted disease and genetic testing.
6. Following acceptance by AVR Andrology Inc.'s Medical Director, you will be eligible for selection by a recipient couple for the purpose of Egg donation. You may be selected immediately, in a few months or you may never be selected by a recipient.
7. After selection by a recipient, you will meet with the infertility clinic staff to determine your medication and Egg retrieval schedule. Medications will given by injection over several days to stimulate ovaries for the purpose of producing several Eggs for retrieval. On the first day of medication you will also have another blood draw for the purpose of sexual transmitted disease testing.
8. During your medication, cycle follicular development will be monitored by ultrasound, pelvic examinations and blood tests.
9. Vaginal egg retrieval will be performed on the appropriate day.
